The first thing of what people think of spiders are that they are the most ugly and horrible creatures on the earth. I don't. Every time i sees a spider i smile and i get hypnotized by the transparent silky strands of the spiders work.
One hot Friday I was walking home from a stressful middle school day and I decided to sit on my back patio steps. So i sat on the white painted stair step and a little speck of yellow caught my eyes. I was curious to see what it was. I was startled from the creature but in a few seconds later i realized that if i just sat and analyzed the petite creature i was actually really calm. It's sand yellow body was practically covered by crimson red dots. Then i looked at the web. It was a sight to be untold. The webs reflected light of the diamond like webs. To take that into perspective i think that a spider is like an artist. When it slowly makes the web it looks like nothing only a long piece of tread. But when the web is finished it looks like a masterpiece. Imagine the hard work and dedication to start and finish the web? It is like someone building a house of their dreams. The web provides shelter, food and a place to call home. Sometimes when a spiders web is torn or broken it breaks my heart into a billion pieces like glass. Our home as humans provide shelter, entertainment, a place to feel enlightened.
It gets me furious when a person steps or tortures the innocent spider to death. When people see a spider they kill it. If you think of killing it tell yourself this " What has this spider done to me?" This is human nature. We humans do things immediately. Sometimes we just have to take a step back from the outside of ourselves and look deep into ourselves and ask "Why am i doing this? Do i really want to do this?" This is being one with ourselves. If we take this wisdom and take it to perspective we will be more of our inner selves.
Another thing when I mentioned how spiders are ugly and gross it is judging other living beings.
Even in my everyday life i see this happen to innocent people at for example my school middle school GMS. Everyday I walk to school so happy. Then one person comes up to me and says rude comments like i am gay or other things. When i think of that i say " why did they have to say that? Do they notice that they are hurting other people?" It gets me furious. It is unfortunate that people have to say such unhealthy comments. Sometimes they hang around the wrong people and get poisoned by the popularity and gossip that they think they are so cool and preppy but they are not. Regular people are because they are their selves they don't act the same way they are unique. But the so called " cool" people act the same being nasty, gossiping, not being themselves, buying the most popular things, and having a boyfriend or a girl friend. Most of the time when the "they think they are cool people" do these thing cus they are sad and scared if they change. The kids that get picked on or struggle are the popular ones because they are themselves, not afraid to show what they are truely. In middle school everyone is rushing to find where they truly belong.
So when you see a spider treat it with compassion don't treat it with disrespect and hatered. You can admire what it has done. Nurture the spider by honering how you are you're self. Because everyday treat it like it is the last day in you're life! Diversity is the key to enlightment and peace. If we follow this path we will be more understanding of who we are. This it called the Spider Web Lesson.
