Kuaii

One sunny day my family and I where heading to Hoko Polo Beach one of Kauai famous landmarks. While we where walking over there I could hear the dogs barking crazily as we strolled by. On the way closer to the beach I could smell the aroma of pink shrimp and lobster frying against the hot coal colored grill. I could also smell the white rice fields half a mile away. About seemed like a hour which was only a twenty minute walk we then arrived at the destination. As far as i could see I saw locals and other people lined on the beach suntanning or building petite sand castles, while other people where on the colossal salt water waves surfing through them. I could see the emerald blue water stretched out from one stretch land to the other side. We walked to an empty pocket of sand near the crowds of people laughing and having a fabulous time. We placed down up the towels and picnic basket. I could hear a faint swishing sound of huge palm trees with there lush green leaves swaying against the wind. I sat down for a quick sec and felt the sand. The crushed pebbles and little pieces of wood brushed against my face like a fresh bought paint brush. I decided to go in the water to escape the suns hot scorching rays. I tested the salt water with my foot and it felt like warm water with a hint of slimy seaweed and sand. The water felt nice and cool. I tried doing body surfing and it felt like you where on a cloud speeding by. Then I crashed. My forehead hit the watery sand. I got up and limped to our beach spot. I was craving food so I retrieved something from the basket and had some chow-main and terriaki chicken that I bought from the Chinese take-out. I also got out a pair of cheap wooden chopstick that I got with the food. Every bite that i tasted it was a magical blend of sweetness from the terriaki chicken sauce, crunchiness from the chow main veggies and a soft threads of noodle danced in my mouth. after the delectable lunch our family was ready to leave. We walked through the hot sand, emerald green salt water. In awe I thought this was the most fabulous vacation in my entire life. The aqua colored sea, the light brown broken down soft sand. That was my greatest memory in Kauai.
